Description My client based in the centre of Leeds is seeking an experienced manager from a Finance background, you will have various back office management responsibilities from staff to compliance therefore applicants must have experience of working within a similar role. This is an all encompassing role that requires: Establishment of business goals/targets ensuring the firms efficiency in operational matters. A strong technical knowledge of operating systems. An understanding of both stockbroking settlement and custodial services. The ability to manage the delivery of efficient administration of ISA, Nominee, Dividends, reconciliations, valuations and corporate events. To ensure the department adheres to Inland Revenue and FSA regulations and internal operational procedures. The ability to promote an open and supportive environment to ensure a positive attitude to all internal and external clients. An ability to lead, motivate and develop a management team, as appropriate. An ability to establish and monitor operational parameters for staff. An ability to continually challenge business targets and enhance STP. The will to enhance operational efficiencies, wherever possible, utilising new technological developments. The will to maintain an awareness of external developments (such as Euroclear/CREST) and ensure that requisite changes are implemented as appropriate. The will to represent the firm in market forums e.g. APCIMS and internally to resolve operational issues. A positive client service approach dedicated to delivery of high standard services to internal and external clients.
Skills & Requirements Previous experience required: Considerable experience of stockbroking settlement and custody, including Crest, client accounting and settlement systems (operationally and preferable technical). Experience of managing a team of staff to deliver the highest standard client care. Educated to a minimum of A level (or equivalent). Knowledge of project management and system development to allow the job holder to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
