Description This leading law firm based in the centre of Leeds is seeking a evening document production supervisor to help supervise a team of technicians. Main Duties and Responsibilities: To ensure that effective lines of communication are in place so that workflow issues are communicated effectively between shifts. To liaise with customers by telephone, in person or by email in a professional manner placing a strong emphasis on customer care. To input incoming and outgoing work on workflow log accurately and ensure that commensurate resource is available to meet work demands. To regularly review the queue of work for the team (and across the PGs in the evenings) and ensure that worktypes are routed appropriately to either Leeds DP or to the firm's outsourced document production service. To monitor staff to ensure that work is produced quickly, efficiently and of the highest quality and to discuss quality issues when required. To hold regular shift meetings and communicate items of relevance to the team as a result of Supervisor meetings. To liaise effectively with the Document Production Manager and to implement departmental procedures accordingly. To liaise with the Document Production Manager with regard to staffing matters as a first point of contact
To ensure that appraisal knowledge is kept up to date by attending the firm's training sessions. To develop staff by means of arranging training as and when required and to ascertain the training needs of operators liaising with the DP manager in this regard. To effectively liaise with other service departments and promote good working relations. Encourage, coach, train and develop all members of the Department. Hours are 4pm until 11pm, this is initially a 6 month fixed term contract
Skills & Requirements Skills and Attributes required for the role: Excellent organisational, Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels, A highly professional approach is required with a need for confidentiality in areas of sensitivity, Confident decision-maker and problem-solver, In-depth knowledge of the full suite of Microsoft products and a flair for technical issues, Energy and commitment is required together with the ability to show initiative in recommendations for service improvements to the Document Production Manager, Strong to commitment to internal client care and customer service
